FILEminimizer Pictures
Back in the day, taking a picture was a bit of a hassle. You had to go buy some film (which I always hated), then you had to take a picture with no visual confirmation that you took a good picture or not, then you had to go develop the film (which I hated even more), and only after you got your pictures back you could see what you shot. Sharing images with someone was an even bigger pain in the unmentionables. You either had to develop multiple pictures and spread them around, or share your film with others so they could develop the images themselves.
Thanks to digital cameras we no longer have to put up with that hassle. You don't have to buy and develop film, you can view the image you shot right on the spot, and you can easily share images with others.
Focusing on the later part, on sharing images with others, there’s still a slight inconvenient: sharing large images with others can be troublesome. Say you want to send a few images to a certain someone or you want to upload the images to the web, but each image weighs in at a 5MB. Twenty images will amount to 100MB; and sending that much over email or uploading that much to the web can take a long time.
This is where software comes in and lends a helping hand. The free, Balesio-offered application FILEminimizer Pictures can take your images and shrink them down by as much as 98%. It can take a 5MB images and shrink it down to a meager 0.1MB. All twenty images will now weigh in at 2MB instead of 100MB. Sending 2MB via email or uploading 2MB to the web will take little time to complete.
And speaking of uploading your images to the web, it must be said that FILEminimizer Pictures provides support for Facebook, the most popular social networking site to date. You can easily and rapidly compress photos and upload them to your Facebook page and share them with all your friends.
I mentioned above that thanks to digital cameras, shooting images is no longer a hassle. The thing is that since it’s so easy to shoot pictures with your digital camera or with your phone (even low spec phones have pretty decent cameras nowadays), you will undoubtedly rack up an impressive collection of pictures on your computer. If the collection takes too much space, you can use FILEminimizer Pictures to address this problem. FILEminimizer Pictures will shrink your images (batch operation is supported) so they will take up less space.
FILEminimizer Pictures is free, it’s easy to use, and it can shrink images by up to 98%. This powerful utility makes it very easy to send images via email and upload them to Facebook.
